}   North Reading Youth Services has successfully provided support, guidance, and referrals for many teens and families in North Reading on several destructive teen issues facing our community.

} Developed a partnership with the schools and the police department to provide guidance to teens and families on alcohol/drug prevention, sexual health issues, bullying, school violence, and promoting the teens to make good decisions.

} Coordinated referrals for many teens and their families to child and adolescent psychologists for teens experiencing issues with anger management, cutting, depression, and other destructive behavior.

} Acted as an interface between state agencies such as CHINS (Child in Need of Services) and DSS/DCF (Department of Social Services/Department of Children and Families) to ensure that the families receive all of the outside support available to them.

} Provided support to teens having academic problems, facing suspension and expulsion for disciplinary issues in schools, and needing tutoring or mentoring at home.

} Collaborated with the schools, the Parks and Recreation Department, library staff, the Police Department, the Northeast Center for Healthy Communities, as well as Andover, North Andover and Winchester Youth Services to provide programming that promotes community service, leadership, and good decision making.
