North Reading Youth Services

Thanks for signing up for the 2010 North Reading Youth Services Battle of the Bands.  Please let us know immediately if for any reason your band is going to be unable to perform.  On February 28th we will email you the set schedule.  Please contact us by February 15th if you plan to share equipment with another band.  Please also contact us if there are any changes to your band’s name, members, or contact information.

The 2010 Battle of the Bands will take place on Saturday, March 6th in the Moose Hall, 140 North Street from 7-10pm.  We are asking that all bands arrive at the Moose Hall at 5:00pm in order to receive any final information, set up equipment, sound check, ect.  Anyone who is not a member of your band will be asked to leave and re-enter at 6:45pm to pay the entrance fee of $8.  Each band is expected to bring all of their own equipment including PA, amps, extension cords, ect.  Please be aware that bands that arrive after 6:00pm will be removed from the set list.

We urge you to encourage all of your friends to come and stay for the entire event.  All audience members will pay $8 at the door and will get a ballot to vote for their two favorite bands.

Please have every band member read the following rules and sign the following contract.  The contract must be signed and returned to the Youth Services office with the $20 registration fee by February 12th.

Please also share this information with your friends who may be attending.

· All band members must arrive between 5:00 -6:00pm

· Each band member will be given one ballot when you check-in

· Anyone who is not a member of a band must enter through the front door and will be charged the $8 admission fee

· Beginning at 7:00pm, no one is allowed to leave and re-enter this event (This includes band members)

· Once your band finishes playing you will be asked to pack up your equipment and wait until the end of the show to bring it out to your cars

· No one under the influence or in possession of alcohol or other drugs will be permitted into this event

· Smoking is not allowed anywhere, inside or outside of the building

· No outside drinks allowed

· Doors will open for audience members at 6:50pm

· Everyone must enter through the front door and pay the $8 admission fee

· All audience members must enter and exit through the front door only

Bands will be disqualified for the following:  provoking moshing, going over the specified time limit, throwing anything into the audience (including yourself), excessive use of inappropriate language or lyrics

The North Reading Youth Services concert staff will enforce all rules and regulations

Anyone who does not follow these simple rules will be removed from the event by a Police Officer.  We are truly looking forward to hearing you play.
